The first successful Greek-language newspaper founded in United States, Atlantis was published in New York City from 1894-1973. Its publishers Solon J. Vlasto, Demetrius J. Vlasto and later Solon G. Vlasto actively supported Greek royalist policies through Atlantis' columns. Other editorial themes were naturalization, war relief, Greek-American business interests, and Greek religious unity.
